Introduction to Hong Kong Shue Yan University
Hong Kong Shue Yan University, formerly known as Hong Kong Shue Yan College, officially gained university status in December 2006, becoming Hong Kong's first private university. Founded in 1971, the college was initially located in Happy Valley before moving to its current location on Braemar Hill in North Point in 1985. It has since developed into its current structure, comprising three buildings: the Teaching and Administration Building (1985), the Library Complex (1995), and the Student Residence and Recreation Building (2005).
Shue Yan University currently comprises the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Business, and the Faculty of Social Sciences, graduating over one thousand students each year. The degree conferment ceremony is usually held in November or December each year at the Braemar Hill Campus in North Point.Shao Meizhen HallHeld.
